the white chamber

About

the white chamber is a game I designed and programmed back in 2005. It is a sci-fi horror point and click horror adventure game. Explore a strange environment crafted in luscious 2D as you solve puzzles and overcome the twisted obstacles in your path.

A young girl wakes to find herself inside a strange glowing coffin, in a dark room. Who is she? What is this place? Why is she here? As she explores the warped environment she finds herself trapped within, she must search for answers, all of which will lead her closer and closer to the white chamber and the truth it holds.

Visit the Studio Trophis site for more details on the project along with additional bonuses like artwork and animations.

Prequel Audio Drama

the grey tower is a 19 minute audio drama I wrote for Studio Trophis to act as a prequel to the white chamber. Set a few months before the chilling incidents of the white chamber, this is the dark tale of a marine on an ill fated survey mission in deep space. Told through 25 personal voice logs, this adventure gives insight into the back story of the white chamber and hints at a greater tragedy yet to be told.

Originally only available as a hidden easter egg for those who competed all of the different endings in the white chamber, the complete drama in mp3 format and as PDF script are available for free download:

Mac Release Notes

The Mac OS X version of the game was created using Wineskin which means it's essentially running the Windows version under emulation. Testing I've done seemed to work fine. How I've done it comes with a few restrictions, firstly it requires an Intel Mac running OSX version 10.5 (Leopard) or later and will need a decent graphics card, so not one of the Intel GMA cards. I couldn't arrange an easy way to allow players to switch between full screen and windowed so the game forces full screen.
